John is coming home today!!!!

John will be home by tonight...We've made the spaghetti dinner Steve asked for and will be going up to their house whenever we get the call. It'll be so good to see the 3 of them as a family at their house:) All is well!

I"M IN HEAVEN!!!!

Today a call came at 10 a.m...it was Steve and Di...asking me IF I'd like to come in and hold and feed John....It was a dream come true. Keith got these great pix. Hope you all enjoy. The up-date on Di and John: Di is coming home tomorrow and John is coming off the oxygen and antibiotics today. He might be coming home on Sunday or Monday...Thanks and Praise to God!! :) We thank everyone for their prayers:) It meant a lot.

One day old

Wed. 6/25/08 - Today the test came back neg.:) but, he's still on oxygen and antibiotic. Will be in NICU for 48 hours for sure.. He looks great and is very good. The Doctors and Nurses say he's a real special little boy cause they hardly EVER get any blonde babies:) I did my first video and it turned out great...I'm still trying to download it, but please be patient with me...I've never done this before.
Di is feeling and looking great. I'm so amazed at her. I'll keep posting and keep you all up-to-date:)

Steve and Di's 7th Wedding Anniversary!!

The day before their wedding we had a flood....the rehearsal was without many of the attendants due to the roads being washed out.. The wedding was to take place at 2 p.m...but because of the road conditions, it didn't start til almost 2:30. The sun was shining and it was a beautiful day. Now we're just waiting for their son to be born!...

Brad and Vivien

On June 18th Brad and Vivien celebrated their 3rd wedding anniversay. It's hard to believe 3 years have gone by already. They visit TN as often as they can. AND the 18th was also the due date for our grandbaby to be born,....but, that's come and gone and Diana and Steve are really ready for this baby to arrive.:) ALSO, Happy Birthday to our friends John and Pat..we really miss you guys.

June 5th 1958...What can I say...Mindy is her name.... When she was born, my parents were trying to come up with a name...They realized that our names all started with M's and....our middle names all started with E's...and to top that...they realized our names were in alphabetical order...Marie Esther, Marjorie Eileen, Michele Elaine and MINDY ELLEN!!! That worked...:) My Mothers' name is Mildred..My grandmothers' name is Mable and there's Aunt MaryEllen and cousin Mary Lou.. My brother came along....nope..he's Jack Daniel ... Mindy is a grandmother (yes, the youngest was the first nana)and rides motorcycles. Her hubby Stuart builds bikes... so does their son, Clancy. I guess you have figured it out by now...I LOVE my sister and her family.. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MINDY!!!

Topsy Turvy Cake

Can you believe Vivien had a couple request this Topsy Turvy Cake for their wedding cake...my, how things have changed. We are amazed at the "WAY OUT" cakes she is asked to do... So, Vivien made this cake to test it out and to see how it traveled...she made it and drove from their house to our house,(about 1 1/2 miles) set it up and here it is at our house.
This cake drew our neighbors like flies....everyone was intrigued, especially the small children..I wonder why? Ha. No matter HOW they look....We KNOW they taste delicious!..mmmmmm

An afternoon with ANDY :)

Oh, it was so good to spend an afternoon with Andy. We just laughed and laughed and the hours flew by. Darn! We couldn't believe it had been 2 1/2 years since he was here. For those of you who don't know Andy...he and Keith have been best friends FOREVER. They were 8 yrs. old when they lived in the same neighborhood ,,,went all thru school tog., he was the BEST MAN in our wedding (almost 40 years ago) and we are more like FAMILY than most families:) It's always a TREAT when Andy calls or comes to visit. Keith made a pouched salmon with shrimp sauce for lunch. Steve and Di stopped by so he could see just how Diana is blooming. We plan on visiting Andy and Leanne in TX, not sure when that will be...but God willing!
