I finished painting the doors.

Brad and Vivien are so pleased with how their kitchen turned out. Last week I painted the doors and they put them back on with all the hardware. It looks so nice and didn't cost them very much at all.
Another project off the list!

Pickleball!!!!

We've been able to play Pickleball with Harry and Karen several times. After we came home from the plant sale we dropped off the plants and went right down to the courts to play. Some players came and went but there were 7 of us at one point. Keith and Brad are getting ready to play in this shot.
Harry and Karen are warming up to take on Brad and Keith! We played til noon. Had great weather!!!

Plant Sale at Glick's - Daylilies!!!!

Our favorite greenhouses had sale yest. and today. Sandy told us to be there when they open so we wouldn't have to wait in line and....we'd get the daylilies we wanted. We arrived at 7:45. The weather was perfect. No humidity, lots of sun and comfortable. I'm sure they had droves of people all day.
I took these photos before the crowds went thru the fields. It was breathtaking to say the least. I purchased 4 daylilies and then went across the street to purchase a bunch of annuals to put in the window boxes at the front of our house. What I had in the boxes were finished and I needed something new. So, for $26.00 FOR EVERYTHING, I was on my way.

Sure hope we're around next year when they have their sale! Believe me it was hard to just pick 4 daylilies...but I promised myself I'd get more next year.

John's first time in a pool.

Sandy gave us a call and asked if we wanted to come over for a swim since it was so nice... It was our last day to have John all day and I was wanting to have a picnic with him...This was MORE than I'd hoped for. He just had NO fear and loved being in the water. I really had to pile on the sun screen so he was like a greased pig.

His first subway sandwich! Ha. We just thought it'd be fun to sit the sandwich in front of him.. He liked the ham, turkey, cheese, and roll. What a fun time we had.

I felt like I was back holding Steve or Brad as I took them to swim when they were 9 months old. They could both swim and loved the water. I just can't thank Sandy enough for having us.

4th of July at Home with Family

Di, Steve and John ready for the hot dogs and hamb. ...It was John's first hamb. and he wasn't sure he liked the taste. But like everything else that has been new to him...it only takes a few tries and he eats it.
The picnic table on our deck AFTER everyone went thru the line. :)

Brad and Vivien enjoying their food. Brad had to play his violin at a wedding at 4...yes, they paid extra because it was the 4th of July. He's so busy traveling to jobs, teaching private lessons at home and at school, and working in the garden. I will be painting the doors in their kitchen Monday. That project is ALMOST finished.
