5 weeks old today!!

Hey everybody....I'm able to play for about 20 min. on my mat and aren't these animals funny looking? I think I like em'.
My Aunt Marge sent me this hooded towel and I REALLY like it...It's just what I needed after my bath. My Daddy is holding me so I'm o.k. I'll get on to liking this bath thing as I do it more.. Thanks Aunt Marge:)

Benefit for "Dog Rescue"

Yes, there is cake under these dogs...A very large one at that and all donated for the Dog Rescue Banquet. Everything you see is eatable:) Vivien spent HOURS doing this one and you can't appreciate all the detail unless you'd see it up front and in person. A dinner for 4 and a strolling violinist (Brad) was auctioned off for $400.00 .
Way to go you two. We're proud of the work you do for charity.

Hey Gene and Andy and all the other Air Force Vets....take a look at this cake! This was a surprise for Greg and boy he just loved this cake. I don't blame him. Great job Vivien!

Vivien's Birthday July 24

Last week Vivien's parents and sister came from TN to visit for the week. Since it was Vivien's birthday, they wanted to go to....you guessed it....Shady Maple Smorgasbord...:) This seems to be the favorite of ALL those coming to visit and that's just fine with all of us....we like it too. There's just something for everyone.

Knoebels Grove - Amusement Park/Campgound

After walking my 4 miles on Sat. morning early, I realized that this was the weekend that a lot of our friends were at Knoebels for the weekend. So Keith and I jumped in the Honda at 7 a.m. and arrived at 8:30 a.m to surprise the gang. It was perfect weather - no humidity once we hit the mountains. It felt great. We've been going to Knoebels since Steve was 11. It's an OLD TIME Amusement Park/Campground that's been around for almost 100 years and hasn't changed much at all. We love it there and will be taking John there in a few years! What a fun day we had!

John's first "laugh" 4 weeks old

You can't help but smile when you look at this right? Di was playing with John and he started to laugh....I quickly grabbed the camera and got this shot.. We can't believe how strong and alert he is for 4 weeks.

Di's birthday Photos

Today is Di's birthday....we took John for his 3 week check up and he weighs 9 lb. 6 oz.. Steve weighed 9 lb 7 oz. at 4 weeks so John has Steve beat! We stopped by my parents house to get a photo with Great Grandpop..he was so glad to see John awake for a change. We had a great day!

Last Sunday was a very busy day for John...Lots of holding, hugging and kissing since Di's family was here from MD... It was so good to see everyone and John was a very good boy. We got this shot before everyone got here.

Daddy's Little Helper ...WELL, maybe in a few years! Hard to believe he's been here less than 3 weeks. We're going to have John again tonight for a few hours so Steve and Di can get out before this next hectic week starts.
Steve is taking 11 credits in 5 weeks...BLESS HIS HEART! That and a new baby..Wow.

2 weeks old

John now weighs 8lb. 12oz. and is 22 inches long..Not bad for 2 weeks old. He's awake a lot more so it's easier to get photos with his eyes open.

Getting to play Pickleball:)

Keith, Brad, Harry, Karen and I have been playing ball ....twice last week and 3 mornings this week. It's been great! The heat and humidity gets us on the court at 7 a.m. and we play til 9 or 10.

July 3rd - 9 days olds

On Thurs. John came to our house while Mommy and Daddy went to the store for an hour. It was great! He just sleeps and sleeps. What a sweet little boy his is! Just had to share this photo with all of you:)

Brad's 31st Birthday

Happy Birthday to Brad... The 4 of us made our way to Shady Maple Smorgasbord at 2 p.m. Brad's meal was free since it was his birthday. Now, those of you who know what and where Shady Maple is, well, that's great, but for those of you who have never been....you MUST go there when you're in this area. Check out their website... shadymaplesmorgasbord.com You just won't believe how big this place is..or how many varieties of foods there are. Needless to say we left very satisfied and in no need for supper tonight:)

One Week Old
