John came at 10:30 a.m. on Sat. Di and Steve went shopping by THEMSELVES!!
He's now 17 months old...jibber jabbers all the time..but says many many words too. He loves to play with the magnetic letters on our refrig. and has us reading TONS of books.

Here he is getting into Mimi's cabinets...can you see the guilty look on his little face? He's such a JOY...and such a good boy for us. Love you John:)

Dec. 2nd - New Pickleball Friends

The YOUNG ONES: Dee and Rich....they just worked us to the bone everyday...but it was good for us. We played in the mornings from about 8 to 11 or longer... Then these two would say; Do ya wanta play this afternoon sometime. So the 4 of us would go over and play until Keith and I would almost drop. Just love this game. Seriously, these two have made us better players. :)
Here's Lancaster Larry....another REALLY good player. Larry's wife Dottie is the dance instructor so she wasn't at the court much, but a very very nice lady.

Neal plays his heart out... Just wait til he gets to Peace River and sees the DVD or has a clinic with Rich and Donna..:) Hope to see him down the road too.

Here's Tracy - a good friend of Judy and Lee.... We met Tracy in Hershey and at Peace River... She's another good player....we did very well tog. :)
This was our last day:( We left the court at 11 a.m....had to pack up everything and have the RV in the storage unit Thurs. morning at 8:30 a.m. The weather was looking nasty by later in the afternoon so Keith and I decided to pull in the one front slide and bring the bikes inside so they wouldn't be wet for the move. The warnings were from 10 to 2 a.m. to get heavy rain and high winds....it was hard to sleep it was so loud, but we were so very glad that's all it was. All went well putting the RV in storage and driving to Daytona to Gene and Pams' home...our plans were to leave Friday night for home...but, we looked at the wather map Friday morning and decided to high tail it out of town by 9:30 a.m. We arrived home at 12 midnight - to bed at 2 a.m...and John was here with his Mommy and Daddy to surprise us at 8 a.m..:) The snow started Sat. morning so we were so very glad we got home before the storm...

The Morning AFTER Thanksgiving - White Bread and Mayo

We ALL love the thought of turkey sandwishes for Thanksgiving supper - but...we were all too full sooooooo
We decided to have the White Brad and Mayo Turkey Sandwiches for BREAKFAST and it was GREAT!!!

Thanksgiving with Bernie, Paul and family:)

Keith and I were invited to join friends Bernie and Paul for Thanksgiving. Keith wanted to see ALL that Paul and Bernie were preparing so we got up very early and arrived at their home at 7:30 a.m.!!! We walked into the kitchen to see this 26 lb. turkey for 8 of us!
Paul and Bernie's youngest son, Jeff and his fiance', Erin making the pumpkin pie while Erin's mom looks on...her dad Patrick was there too. There really was a lot going on in that kitchen! It all smelled sooooo good....

How beautiful that turkey looked - we just had to get a photo with our host and hostess.

At 3 p.m. we were all summoned to the dinning room for the feast...

Well, where is everyone??? Let's eat!

And then - there were the pies...mmmm apple, pumpkin and minsed meat too.

Bernie wouldn't let anyone clean up - she wanted everyone to stay sitting and visit and play games... It was after 8 p.m. when this mile high mound of dishes was attacked. It was truly a great thanksgiving and...a memory for Keith and I to have forever. :)

Nov. 19th - Farewell Dinner for Harry and Karen

Friends Faye and Ken joined us for a special dinner for Harry and Karen the night before they had to leave for home in Pa......and the COLD>
It just doesn't seem possible that this day has come and Harry and Karen are leaving the next morning - early,. We had a wonderful meal, but the mosquitos chased us not long after we finished eating:( Til next time!!!!

Nov. 19th in Orlando with Harry and Karen

Karen doing her laps in the warm pool.
Keith taking a snooze in the sun.

Nov. 16th - Game Time at the Lodge

Carlton is so very gifted...he makes pine needle baskets of all shapes and sizes. I only learned about this when we were at Hershey this summer. I purchased this small adorable basket and have it in the RV....If you ever get the chance to see Carlton's collection or see him making the baskets you will come away in awe.

Carlton and Dawn met the 4 of us at the game room for one of our evenings playing FAST TRACK! Dawn is also a very gifted lady. She makes quilts among many other sewn items.

We all got silly and this is what you get when I have a camera in my hand..Ha.

Then Karen took the camera and got back at me. We DO have fun.

Nov. 16th - Oakwood Smokehouse

Monday, Tues. and Wed. are the nights that The Smokehouse has a full rack of ribs for $11. So, of course, Harry, Karen, Keith and I made our way there on Wed.
These happy faces are ready to enjoy the mouth watering ribs. They really are the best!

Nov. 16th - Webster Flea Market

Webster Flea Market is only open on a Monday...like our Green Dragon back home only being open on Fridays. Our good friends used to collect "Push me Pull me peddle trucks"...or at least that's what Keith's dad called them. Since it was a very hot day, we arrived at 9 and started to walk around the acres of venders. It's so much fun IF you like to snoop around.
Yes, Webster is the largest flea market around... miles and miles of things to see and do. Keith likes to be at the produce building by 12:30 because that's when ALL the produce is marked down to $1. a bag. We've always come away with lots of great fresh food to stock the RV.

I guess the 4 of us were on our way back to Orlando by 1:30. Webster is about 50 miles northeast of Orlando.
I felt like we walked 50 miles by the end of the day! NOT

Nov. 15th - Orlando Thousand Trails Park

Karen and Harry were already at Orlando - arrived on Thurs. Before they left Peace River Karen said they were going to make supper for the 4 of us the day we arrived. Here we are at the end of the day enjoying the weather with friends over a warm meal. mmmm
This is Harry and Karen's RV - and this is the view from our door to theirs'.

Nala settled in right away. She loves the sun coming in the front window.

Nov. 12th - Woody and Jane

We drove down to Moore Haven which is at the base of Okeechobee. Woody and Jane are great friends who we hadn't seen for 3 years. After a quick and delicious lunch at a near by sandwich shop, we got down to the business of playing hand and foot....THEIR WAY!... It was all new to us...We started the game at 1:30 and finished at 5:30...YES, it is a longer way to play, but so much fun and more challenging. The day went way too fast. Jane made a yummy choc. cake which we topped with vanilla ice cream.
Thanks for a GREAT TIME YOU GUYS.

Nov. 14th - Leaving Peace River

I knew we were leaving early the 15th so I took a walk around the park. Thought you'd get a kick out of the sign that warns of alligators and snakes by the river. I didn't see either this time here.
The lower area of sites is all but empty now, but in a few weeks it will be FULL.

All along the river are camping sites....empty now. They are quite popular since you have such a peaceful view of the river.
