This was the first view as we walked into the park. We all felt like we had gone back in time...back to the good old days of the WEST.
Does any of this look familiar? Most everything has been in any of the movies made for Westerns.
The yellow building is where many of the Saloon shots are filmed.
This is Miss KATE singing on stage.
And just outside there was a gun fight about to happen.
Oh, and how many times have you seen this little church in the movies?
Our strong husbands pulled this locamotive down the track! :) :) You have to know that this was Keith's idea!
The Stage Coach ran passangers around the park all day. What a sight!
Pistol Packin' Paula, the world's best at the Bull Whips...picked Keith out of the crowd and here he is...holding a stick for Paula to make about 2 inches from his fingers.
Old Tucson Studios was on our "to do" list. Pat and Jerry hadn't been there for about 20 years so it was fun to hear what they remembered and what was new.
Had a morning full of shows and brousing thru the sets that have been used in so many of the western movies we've seen.
After one of the "shoo outs" the actors granted us a photo opp.

Well, what can I say!!!!????? Hehe
And at the end of the day....our 2 favorite Cowboys !
We planned a day to drive Mt. Lemmon just east of Tucson. It was about a 2 hour drive from Gilbert...so here we are taking a break.
The view as we drove to our destination.
Mt. Lemmon is in Coronado National Forest.
About 5000 feet up.
Stopped at the picnic area for lunch
This is about 7000 ft . We didn't make it to the top....the roads were covered with ice and snow..so we turned around. It was a great day and the scenery was awesome.
A day at the spa on Pat... We arrived at the spa just before 2 p.m.
Jerry was having a pedicure done by daughter Mandy.
Keith was scheduled for a massage....How LUCKY:)
And Pat gave me my first facial. It was wonderful.:)
Pat and I relaxing on the sofa at the end of a long day on the road...
Jerry and Keith fixing some ice cream sundaes for us! mmmmm
Although it was sad to leave all our friends in Verde Valley...it was so fun to pull into Pat and Jerry's driveway cause we just love spending time with them. This visit to them has taken us years and years...but it finally came true. Jerry and Keith were in the Navy together between 1966-1968. Jerry married Pat and brought her to Pa. from IL. so we could meet. We ended up spending vacations tog. at the Jersey Shore for the next 3 years in Aug. Of course then the kids came and so on and so on.
